The Good News –  God created the world in a beautiful way. The human race and all other creation lived in perfect harmony with God. However, what God had made beautiful, sin (disobedience to God) made broken. Because of sin, we could not make a way to be right with God again. But God did make a way. In His love, He sent His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus, into this world of sin to bridge the gap between Him and us. Because God’s perfect justice demanded a perfect payment for sin’s penalty, and because Jesus alone was without sin, He alone could pay the price for the sin of the world. He did pay the price through willingly giving His life on a cross to ransom ours from eternal condemnation and death. Through trusting in Jesus’ sacrificial death for the payment of our sin debt and turning our lives over to Him, we can have new and abundant life on earth and eternal life in heaven.
